We’re looking for a collaborative and passionate Systems Administrator to join our IT team and play a crucial role in keeping our infrastructure running smoothly. In this role, you will provide internal technical support and asset security for our computer and network systems.
Your responsibilities as the System Administrator will include:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field experience preferred
• CompTIA A+, Security+, Network+ accreditation is advantageous.
• Experience with macOS and Windows/Windows Server in an Enterprise Environment
• Experience with the Ubiquiti Platform
• SharePoint, Teams, Office 365, and Azure experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
• Good problem-solving skills.
Experience with the following Software Platforms are a plus:
• JAMF
• Apple Business Manager
• Teams / SharePoint
• Ubiquiti / Unifi OS / Strong Networking skills
• PowerShell / Command-Line Scripting
• macOS / Windows / Windows Server / Linux
• Active Directory
• Microsoft Azure / Entra / Defender

This is an on-site position in Newport News, VA.

• Install and configure hardware and software components to ensure usability
• Ensures the availability and optimal performance of the network and performs day-to-day activities such as creating, modifying, and deleting users, optimizing remote access, and security access
• Work with vendors for equipment configuration, procurement, and software support.
• Ensure the security and integrity of all systems and data
• Respond to outages and collaborate with employees
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues. Repair or replace damaged hardware.
• Provide support to users and be the first point of contact for error reporting
• Document all support tickets in the IT Ticketing system
• Establish good relationships with all departments and colleagues to support their IT needs
• Maintain backups, security, and integrity of company data
• Manage technical documentation.
